Keep in mind that hidden salts can add up quickly. For example, a large fast-food cheeseburger can contain as much as 2,000 mg of sodium. Depending on toppings, a single slice of pizza can exceed 1,000 mg. This makes it extremely important to remain aware of how much salt you eat each day, and try to keep it well below the maximum guideline of 2,300 mg of sodium daily.
