For Better Health, Be a Part-Time Vegetarian!
Even those of us who like meat know that an occasional vegetarian meal is good for us, good for the animals, and good for the planet. It takes fewer resources to eat vegetarian and, with the right choices, can help us get our five-a-day.
Some of the easiest ways I’ve found to incorporate vegetarian meals into my diet: scrambled tofu “eggs,” peanut butter on whole wheat, toasted cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, veggie burgers, refried bean burritos, hummus on pita bread and egg salad. I try to have at least one meal a day without meat.
Why not make a decision to tread a little lighter on this blue planet of ours with more vegetarian meals?
The Anti-Aging Bottom Line: A tremendous amount of research has shown that a plant-based, or mostly vegetarian diet, is the best way to eat for optimal vitality and for protection against some of the most common diseases of aging.
