Recall Alert: Toss These Frozen Fruits and Veggies Immediately
Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that CRF Frozen Foods, a food packaging company in Pasco, Washington, was voluntarily recalling a large number of frozen fruits and vegetables due to possible contamination with the lethal bacteria lethal Listeria monocytogenes. The CDC reported eight hospitalizations, two of which resulted in death.
As of this week, the company announced its expansion of the recall to include frozen fruits and vegetables from 42 different brands that can be found at grocery stores across the nation including Trader Joe’s and Costco.

In addition to reading up on the developing situation, be sure you check the list of recalled items and make sure you double-check your freezer for any of the popular products listed on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website.
Here’s a small portion of it to get you started, but — believe it or not — this is only about a third of the list. (ouch!)
